The format

PechaKucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps - just about anything really, in the Pecha Kucha 20x20 format. We gather a number of architects, designers, entrepreneurs, artist’s, etcetera who deliver their insights, inspirations, thoughts, projects and ideas to inform a willing and responsive audience.

PechaKucha Night = social design

'Social design' als benaming is nog lang niet toe aan een finale definitie. De term wordt steeds vaker gebruikt om allerlei ontwerpprocessen middenin de samenleving te beschrijven. De ontwerpende mens brengt voortdurend veranderingen aan. Zo bekeken is 'social design' een onvermijdelijk fenomeen dat zich in tal van verschijningsvormen voordoet. Pecha Kucha Night Rotterdam is een ideaal podium voor bijvoorbeeld nieuwe creatieve inzichten over hergebruik van afval en een slimme benadering van wat wij wildgroei noemen.

The place to be

Without any other theme than their own, presenters share their passion ‘to the point’ aiming to uncover the unexpected. The audience may expect anything, representing ideas that may be new or old fashioned, crazy or insane, brilliant or tedious, disturbing or exhilarating. All of this will be brought to you in a rapid and entertaining flow in the WORM creative context, the one institute of avant garde recreation.
